Influencer Lucas Picolé, known for his online raffles, will remain in custody despite a recent court ruling granting him provisional release in relation to the fraud investigation. The 24-year-old influencer, along with his associate Mano Queixo, is also facing charges related to drug trafficking.
The 4th Criminal Court of Manaus approved Lucas Picolé’s provisional release and revoked the house arrest of fellow influencer Isabelly Aurora Simplício Souza. However, both Picolé and Mano Queixo are still detained due to the pending drug trafficking case.
In this separate case, the two influencers have been indicted by the Amazonas Prosecutor’s Office for drug trafficking, association with drug trafficking, and possession of restricted firearms. They are now facing trial as defendants.
Despite being granted provisional release in the raffle fraud investigation, Lucas Picolé will remain in custody because the court did not grant him provisional release in the drug trafficking case.
“He is currently detained on drug trafficking charges, but we are confident that he will be acquitted. As the drug trafficking case is under absolute secrecy, we cannot provide further details at this time,” stated Vilson Benayon, Lucas Picolé’s lawyer.
